Enjoy the Advantages of Culvert Rehabilitation VS Replacement
Culverts are generally made from galvanized corrugated steel, concrete, or stone. National Gunite can rehabilitate all three types of culverts.
-
Eliminate the Worry & Danger of Imminent Culvert FailureCorrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) was the industry standard for large culverts during the 1950’s through the 1970’s. According to the U.S. Corps of Engineers, corrugated metal pipe has a design life of up to 50 years, so most of it has outlived its expected life.
-
Extend the Life of Culverts for DecadesIf a CMP it is completely deteriorated and in danger of imminent failure, National Gunite can perform a full-diameter repair. This essentially renews the life expectancy of the culvert for another 50 years.
-
Restore the Structural Properties of the Original PipeIf the bricks are loose or missing, stainless steel anchors can be installed into sound material. Reinforcing steel is then secured to the anchors prior to spraying several inches of gunite onto the steel and brick. This adds structural integrity to the sewer, virtually restoring its original design life.
-
Benefit from Cost-Effective Specialized RepairsAn invert or joint repair using gunite is especially cost effective when comparing the cost to cured-in-place resin liners. All resin liners must cover the entire interior surface of the pipe, even in the areas where the corrugated metal may be in pristine condition.
